Hi, just curious, what is the next technology to the cdburners.

i mean, nowadays the only improvement to cdrw is only speed.

48x is already really fast. anything faster is not that obvious.

want to know if there is anything beside speed...

DVD burners will be much faster. If the data density is say 5 times (??) as high, and the DVD spins at the same 48x speed then you would expect it be significantly faster. Not to mention the fact that you can store a lot more data on the DVD.
