I found this at Fat Wallet forums. If you are still waiting on this rebate for the Hi-tech CDR rebate from 11/01 purchased @ Staples last year. It was a 100 spindle for $25.00 with a $25.00 rebate.
According to this FW thread the # to call is 877 549-9794. I called them today (Sunday) Hours Mon-Friday.

I know that this is not a hot deal for people that did not purchase these last year, But it is for the others who did and are still waiting on there $25.00 for these rather
junky CDR's. I will also post this in the Rebate tracking thread, I posted it here because not everyone looks in the rebate tracking thread, also I found them here.
So to any potential thread crappers:disgust: You did read the title didn't you?

Edit, The best number to call is 877 549-9794, It is Staples. Staples is now taking over for this rebate.

I am not crapping your thread...but what do you mean? They sent out rebates already? What are we suppose to "do" when we call?

Thanks. I'm still waiting on this rebate from November and am glad to have a way to contact them.

Just tell them you are waiting for a HiTech CDR rebate, and you you heard that that company is not going to honor the rebate. They'll know what to do then.

No, I don't beleive that they sent out any rebates yet. When you call just say in a polite manner: WERE THE HELL IS MY REBATE??:Q

I beleive that the 877 549-9794 number is for the firm handling this rebate, not Staples.

i called about 3 weeks ago thanks to the FW thread and the rebate is in process according to Staples Rebate Center page. Staples is really good at coming through rebates even if it wasn't their responsibility in the first place. Staples IS NOT SUCK, in fact they're great! I also had rebate that came back with a violation of invalid purchase date. Sent them a email, few days later, rebate was back in process and check will be mailed soon. luv them. ^_^x

I called this number 1-877-266-6483 which is the staples rebate center number. She asked me for the manufacturer. As soon as I told her that it's HI-TECH, she said that originally these rebates were supposed to be processed in hackensack, NJ and later they were transferred to the staples rebate center. The representative told me that the promotion is already closed, but she will create a record by considering it as a special case. She took down the UPC, phone number, and address. She said that since the program is already closed HI-TECH will validate the rebate and sends the information back to staples rebate center. Looks like then only they will process it. She asked me to call back in 3 weeks to find out the status. So you have to call them immediately on this since they are saying that this promotion is already close.

CSRs -you can't live with 'em, you're not allowed to live without 'em. I just called Staples rebate center and my CSR said that yes, they were handling the Hi Tech rebates. No mention of closed program. She took my info and entered it into the system and said 4-6 weeks for check. I guess we'll know for sure what's going on the minute that we hold the checks in our hands.

YMMV.

I just made two separate calls to the Staples Rebate Center and both CSRs told me that they knew nothing about Staples handling the HI-Tech rebates that were sent to Hackensack. See my post in the rebate tracking thread for more info. Ugh. :(

Copied from the Rebate Tracking Thread:

Here's an update. I just called the Staples Rebate Center and talked to yet another CSR and she told me that there was a typo on the rebate form and that the "Hackensack, NJ" address information was incorrect. I think she said it was supposed to go to Plano, TX?, but not sure.

She then took down my information and said I should receive a check in 4 to 6 weeks.

So it appears that not all of the Staples Rebate Center CSRs are aware of this problem since the first two I called knew nothing about it.

I guess i will wait another week (from 11/23 to 2/23 will be 3 months) and go to the B&M directly (i got one from B&M) and see how they handle it. Not feeling to wait 4-6 weeks for them to "re"- process it.

I've received my rebate on Feb 1st. I track this rebate at
Staples "Rebate Center".
All of you may be a victim, of the rebate itself.
The rebate stated you must complete "this original" rebate form.
At the time I remember this group questioning acceptance of self printed rebates,
from PDF file on the Staples web site.
I waited for the second time frame the rebate then, returned
to Staples and ask and received an original rebate form.

My be the rebates were denied for lack of orignal rebate form?
A dubious Gotcha.

Just got done calling the staples rebate center about the Hi-Tech 50 pack, $15 rebate. I was told they are now handling the rebate and to resend my information to:

ATTN: Special Services
P.O Box 9013
Coppell, TX 75019

Did the rest of you get this or did they just say it would be there in 4-6 weeks?
