I've found it hard to find good anime wallpaper with 1280*1024 or higher resolution. I was wondering if anyone knew any good sites for hi-res anime wallpaper that looks good, or even official sites that offer it.

The highest resolution I saw there was 1024x768. I need 1280x1024. Thanks anyway.

Heh, resizing to a smaller resolution isn't much of a problem. However, enlarging an image usually greatly reduces the quality of the image and distorts it.

not if you run the correct resolution ratios. all are 3:4 except 1280x1024.. which is a bad resolution to use. if your source is resonably well compressed at 1024x768 then upsizing it to 1600x1200 is fine. i know because i do. going lower then 1024x768 for a source doesn't work so well. i use a sony g400 btw.

Basically, they answered your question before I did. I'm the one administrators/wallpaper designer for the site mentioned (animebgx.net)
We are considering upsizing our resolutions to 1600x1200 by 2002 depending on demand. However we are not likely to accomodate for non 4:3 resolutions since they are so rare. I suggest using an image editing tool like Adobe Photoshop to add a border to the wallpaper which will make it fit your aspect ratio with out distorting the original image.

Hmm, i didn't know that 1280x1024 wasn't a 4:3 aspect rato. My fault. I only use it becaues on my 19" monitor 1024x768 looks way to big, and 1600x1200 is really too small to be useful. Oh well.

Hmm, tried using 1600x1200 and i don't think this monitor handles it too well. Everything looks bad and grainy. I'll just keep my eye out for oddball wallpaper

Nah, i have a Radeon LE that can do 32bit at that res. Maybe this monitor just can't handle it.
