Hi, Planning to buy used desktop computer, need a suggestion

Is it worth buying !!! I have attached the config below.

I use it for Basic editing and color grading...

Motherboard - Asus Maximus V Gene (4 memory slots, 2 PCIE 16x slots, 6 SATA ports, RAID 0 /1 capable). Built-in Intel 3000 video card, dolby digital 5.1 surround sound audio card with SPDIF and optical out, and built in Intel Gigabit ethernet card.

CPU - Intel i7-3770k CPU (overclockable to 4.5 GHz)

RAM - 16GB – 2 x CORSAIR 8GB DDR3 1600fsb WITH HEAT SINK (VENGEANCE)

HDD - WD 2TB HDD SATA WD20EZRX 64mb cache

Case - Cooler Master HAF912 COMBAT

Power supply - Cooler Maser 600W SMPS

It will be fast enough for your use, but there are always risks involved buying older used computers ( e.g. power supply could be ready to blow or motherboard has bulging capacitors). Socket 1155 motherboards are not the easiest to find anymore outside of buying used or overpaying on Ebay.

It all depends on the price you are paying.

A very capable machine. Only "gotcha" I can think of is that you won't be using 4K displays with the onboard video unless you use an additional video card. If you were to purchase the next generation, "Haswell", you would be able to attach 4K displays to the Intel embedded video.
