I've never overclocked before (this is my first non-laptop computer for over 10 years). I don't really need to overclock but I'm just toying with the idea for fun.

i5 3570K at 3.4Ghz (the stock speed) with Akasa Nero 3 Ultraquiet fan and premium thermal paste.

I ran Prime95 for 1 hour and the max temps are (I used CoreTemp):

Core 1: 63
Core 2: 67
Core 3: 64
Core 4: 60

Is 67C too hot?

67C is a perfectly normal load temperature. I personally wouldn't be concerned until the temperature starts to creep into the high 70s.

Also consider the fact that you are running Prime 95. Few applications tax the chip as much as P95 so you are definitely within spec.

It's a modest OC. Try 4.2 GHz and 1.15v, and perhaps with better fans/cooler get under 70s temps.
