I was in a bit of a fog this morning. I got ready and left and was driving down the street when I realized that I couldn't see a damn thing. That's when I realized that "duh, idiot...you didn't put your contacts in!"

It's been years since I've made this error...I forgot how blind I am. :( If it's more than 3 feet away, it doesn't exist. ROFL!

Anyone else blind w/o their glasses/contacts? Doesn't it suck having faulty vision? Been wearing glasses for 28 years now. I thank God I can see, period, however.

I've been wearing contacts for 5 years, and haven't forgotten yet. I am nearly blind without them, so I can't see how one could forget to put them in. Wouldn'y you notice theat you couldn't see anything? I've been in a rush and haven't had the time to put them in so I just wear glasses, but that's about it.

Im blind without my glasses/contacts too. I think my vision is 20/400 or something like that. But when I see things close up (without my glasses) the appear to be slightly magnified!

I haven't gotten new 'tacts in over a year. Last time I got my eyes checked my left eye actually got better (freak!). Both are between -5 and -6.

I overslept and was in a rush...too little sleep makes for a groggy Mike in the Morning. No coffee=bumping into stuff.

I've had perfect eyesight my entire life. Just a couple months ago I was having trouble in one eye, and found out that, out of the blue, I've developed a slight astigmatism in that eye. :( I'm 20/20 (used to be 20/10), but the ghosting in that eye is annoying

Also, just wait until you guys hit your mid thirties. You can't focus close up anymore. I used to be able to put an object a couple of inches from my face to see it up close. Not anymore. Now it needs to be eight inches away, a foot if I don't want to strain my eyes.

I've become my father... I now have to wear "eyes" when doing "small" work (like reading tiny numbers on a chip).

What bothers me about bad vision is having to move and almost get up to see the numbers on the clock.

I bought one with big numbers and I still have to squint and lean up to read it.

Wish I could barely open my eyes and just peek at what time it is.

Both of my sisters have had surgery and now I am thinking about doing it as well.

Yep, blind here. So blind, in fact, that when I took my contacts out at the eye doctors for the exam, I was asked if I could get around ok.

If you do, make sure that they leave you a bit near sighted. If they zero you out, or go too far and make you far sighted, you'll be screwed as you get older.

This is one contest I hate to win.

Don't worry Millenium, unfortuantely I win with my -8.00 in both eyes. Actually I had to stop wearing contacts about 2 years ago due to dry eyes. Thank god for polycarbonate lenses or else mine would be Coke bottles! I would give anything not to have to wear glasses any more. I'm still not sold on laser surgery though, especially after seeing that one Simpson's episode...

i thought i surgery is pretty safe now. But I'll wait another year or two.

I can see w/o glasses but I will not drive w/o them.

I'm blind as well...somewhere in the -5 to -5.25 range for both eyes :(

I hate it when I take off my glasses and then can't find them again because I can't see...

I'll be first in line for the surgery if ever it's covered by medical benifits at work.
