i like those little circular convex mirrors that u can stick on your sideview mirrors. i bought some at walmart for like $2 each, i think they were by bell. whatever silver relective material was on the mirrors has already started to wear away after about 2 months of being used. there are little black dots all over the mirror... ive seen similarly priced mirrors at auto stores but im worried the same thing will happen. anywhere i can pay $5 - $10 and get mirrors that will last?

edit: ok on further review i realised i need to be more detailed with this request

most of these mirrors are made entirely out of plastic... black plastic housing, clear plastic front, some really thin layer of foil applied to the plastic housing

are there any of these tiny press-on circular 2" convex mirrors that are actually made with a GLASS mirror just like the original side mirros on the car are made of? in other words: quality

i note that the ebay link posted towards the end of this thread seems to maybe be that, i have sent a message to the seller asking for more info, but i still thought id put this to the collective wisdom :-O of ATOT

My grandfather used to use those (before he shot and hanged himself), and they seemed to last... no idea where he bought them though.

But here's a better idea - adjust your mirrors properly. Most people (including you, most likely) adjust them so they can see their car. This is stupid. You know where your car is, you're in it. Instead, do this. put your head against the driver's side window and adjust your driver's side mirror the way you normally would - so you can just see the back of your car in the mirror. Then put your head directly over the center console and do the same on the right side mirror. Congratulations, you've eliminated your blind spots. Test it on the highway - you should be able to watch a car move from your rearview mirror to your side mirror, and as it moves out of range of your side mirror it should be in your peripheral vision.

Conversations with you must be really awkward.

"I like your new shoes."
"Thanks, the laces are the same color as the tie my uncle would wear while molesting me."

my mirrors are adjusted properly, thanks. i still like the little round mirrors. they let me see even more, PLUS they let me see the side of my car which i cant when my mirrors are adjusted properly, which is useful for backing up

depends on the car. I have my mirrors adjusted so and I still have blind spots.

the car had those aftermarket small mirrors, probably been on there since the car was almost new and in my year and a half of ownership have held up well. No idea where they are from, though.
