I'm back. Did you miss me?

Should I use 16 penny nails to secure the crown molding I am installing? I don't want to fall off and conk somebody in the head, after all.

What should I use to paint over the nail heads? I'm thinking about using galvanized nails so they don't ever rust and I don't want any streaking with the humidity and all.

I feel the love, but I had serious question.

When you are driving 3 inch screws into your new deck do you lubricate them with Vagisil? I tried petroleum jelly, but they keep snapping off.

For screwing you always use.

Thanks, ed21x and WaTaGuMp.

I was assigned this avatar by one of the mods who I shall not name for fear of retaliation. He is a dear friend, but jealous of my good looks and virility.

As for Baconlube, I spread it on my toast every morning in lieu of the usual strawberry jam. I find it quite pleasant.

Sure you can, however it is going to be a bit of work to sink & fill in the holes.

2" finishing nails are often use for crown molding, and I prefer an air nailer which make the job a lot easier.

Paraffin wax work well, and there are pre lube screws that you can also buy.

What kind of finish nailer, 15 ga. or 16 ga.? You seem to be a bright young person with years of experience, so tell us.

Howdy, pard!

Yeah, I was an idiot who used to tell factual stories based on my life experiences. The moderators didn't like what I had to say and banned me time after time until I gave up.

They won. :(
