Hi Experts,

I need some serious help here. I couldn't get the printer to print locally with Remote Desktop Connection.

The "Local Resources - Printers" is checked.
Printer Samsung ML-2151N on IP_192.168.0.5

I'm running Win2k Server as Host and WinXP Pro as Client and would like to get the 2151N work.

Please let me know how to fix this.

I greatly appreciate your help.

on the session to the server, you have to actually set up the printer....just pretend the rdp is your computer and set it up like that....actually go to 'add printer' and such and install the driver....drive must be installed on the server for the printer check box to work.

I don't quite understand how to install the printer w/o the printer attached on the server or on the network.

Which port do i use for the printer on the server side?

Sorry I don't understand what "rdp" mean.

Please advise!

On the Win2k Server Box: Open up your printer folders, right click on the background of the folder and select server properties, select drivers, hit the add button, add the drivers for your printer. These should be the exact same drivers as your client is using to eliminate possible problems.
