HHELLPPP ME PPLLZZZ

I have just installed bios 1007 on my asus a7v133 with a duron processor, and it worked like a charme, i then put in my new XP 1600+ and i cant boot. I have tried unplugging everything and every other thing i can think of...

Do i need to clear my CMOS, and how do i do this... ill need magnetic screwdriver wont I???

PLZ help me, im desperate to try this new processor... any suggestions are welcome😱

Did you check with the company that you purchased your chip from that it would even work with your MoBo, or its revision????

Example,

I bought a XP 1800+, stuck it in my Asus A7A266 board and had all kinds of problems, only to find out that the revision 1.0 MoBo that I have - is NOT upwardly compatible with the new Athlon chips. Thus, I has to upgrade to a A7V266 MoBo. Perhaps, your A7V133 isn't compatible with the newer chip design?

It should be compatible with the XP prócessors... I asked to company before i bought it. But i think its a normal problem after updating a Asus bios. Searched the boards and found alot of similar things happen to other people.

I have pulled out the battery and will try again in 30 mins to see if it makes a difference...
