anyone know what kinda cable you need to hook a laptop up to a tv? (like to use the laptop as a dvd player)

You'll need some kind of video out to TV adapter. It's usually a standard RCA cable that plugs into the adapter.

probably a yellow rca composite or svideo.

You once posted a picture of your time in afghanistan. There was an M249 in the foreground (like you were holding the digicam with one hand and the machine gun with the other) but the picture was of this awesome valley view. I used to have that as my desktop for the longest time.

I didnt pay 2 grand for it, my freind's dad works for acer

I dont want to burn a tv series on this computer onto a dvd

yes, I know this is the wrong forum to post this, but I like responses from the OT crowd way better.

Um, it should be in the box. It's usually S-Video 4 pin to RCA, then you need the 3.5mm to RCA for sound.
