Hey You!

Hey you, out there in the cold
Getting lonely, getting old
Can you feel me?
Hey you, standing in the aisles
With itchy feet and fading smiles
Can you feel me?
Hey you, dont help them to bury the light
Don't give in without a fight.

Hey you, out there on your own
Sitting naked by the phone
Would you touch me?
Hey you, with you ear against the wall
Waiting for someone to call out
Would you touch me?
Hey you, would you help me to carry the stone?
Open your heart, I'm coming home.

But it was only fantasy.
The wall was too high,
As you can see.
No matter how he tried,
He could not break free.
And the worms ate into his brain.

Hey you, standing in the road
always doing what you're told,
Can you help me?
Hey you, out there beyond the wall,
Breaking bottles in the hall,
Can you help me?
Hey you, don't tell me there's no hope at all
Together we stand, divided we fall.

:)

PINK FLOYD thread, eh? I love it :D

Mother do you think they'll break the wall...

All in all, it's just, another brick in... the wall...

Good mornin' the worm, your honour!

Gotta love the good ol' bands that just can't be replicated too well in this time and age. Pink Floyd is one in a million... I especially love DARK SIDE OF THE MOON - even more so than The Wall in some cases ;)

yep :D

I love discovering gems like this. I wasn't even born when they were THE big thing. Never really listened to them before. They're great.

I'm 19, PF's been around before I even knew what the heck music was. However my dad has always been a big fan. I was introduced to them a while back when my dad was trying to "culture" me (hehe, wrong kinda music for the process). Nonetheless, I've loved their lyrics and their giffs from the start of Brick in the wall pr. 1 :)

"look mommy, not a cloud in the sky"

OK, I now have a serious itch to pull out some PF albums. I think I will start with Animals.

If you didn't care what happened to me,
And I didn't care for you
We would zig zag our way
through the boredom and pain
Occasionally glancing up through the rain
Wondering which of the buggers to blame
And watching for pigs on the wing.

*AHHHHH!!!!*

Isnt it "Look mommy, theres an airplane up in the sky"? , or am I thinking of another part of the album?

Hmm... I was pretty sure it was a "cloud" phrase... not too sure though, I'm on vacation and I don't have THE WALL on me ;) sure we can check up on some lyrics on the net though.

I also have the ANIMALS CD, actually, my mom has that one and I have listened to it quite a bit, not really my favorite album though... don't really have a reason, I guess it's just that I think THE WALL and DARK SIDE OF THE MOON are that much better - but then again, that's just me.

Ooooooooooooooooooh
Did you see the frightened ones
Did you hear the falling bombs
Did you ever wonder
Why we had to run for shelter
When the promise of a brave new world
Unfouled beneath a clear blue sky
Ooooooooooooooooooh
Did you see the frightened ones
Did you hear the falling bombs
The flames are all long gone
But the pain lingers on

Goodbye blue sky
Goodbye blue sky
Goodbye

I think I am going to go put that DVD in now.

yakko - another great track from the wall... man, I want that DVD now too... gonna check it out at my local Best Buy as soon as I get back from my vacation.

My all time favorite would have to be:

The Trail - awesome!

Good morning, Worm your honor.
The crown will plainly show
The prisoner who now stands before you
Was caught red-handed showing feelings
Showing feelings of an almost human nature.
This will not do.
Call the schoolmaster!
I always said he'd come to no good
In the end your honor.
If they'd let me have my way I could have
Flayed him into shape.
But my hands were tied,
The bleeding hearts and artists
Let him get away with murder.
Let me hammer him today.
Crazy... toys in the attic I am crazy,
Truly gone fishing.
They must have taken my marbles away.
Crazy, toys in the attic. He is crazy.
You little sh!t you're in it now,
I hope they throw away the key.
You should have talked to me more often
Than you did, but no.
You had to go your own way, have you
Broken any homes up lately?
Just five minutes, Worm your honor,
Him and Me, alone.
Baaaabe!
Come to mother baby, let me hold you in my arms.
M'Lord I never wanted him to get in any trouble.
Why'd he ever have to leave me?
Worm, your honor, let me take him home.
Crazy, over the rainbow, I am crazy,
Bars in the window.
There must have been a door there in the wall
When I came in.
Crazy, over the rainbow, he is crazy.
The evidence before the court is incontrovertible
There's no need for the jury to retire.
In all my years of judging I have never heard before
Of someone more deserving of the full penalty of law.
The way you made them suffer,
Your exquisite wife and mother,
Fills me with the urge to defecate!
Since, my friend, you have revealed your deepest fear
I sentence you to be exposed before your peers.
Tear down the wall!

I urge all to download that MP3, awesome skit type running! ;)
