Serious topic from me for once. Just bear with me.

Why is it that so much P&N discussion is allowed to spill over into the OT without punishment? Is there some kind of policy already in place for people spreading the political talk to the OT boards and I'm just missing it?

I know there has been plenty of whining about this in the past but I feel like if it's allowed to go unabated then I should at the very least be allowed a stickied 'cat pictures' thread at the top of P&N.

I'd also like to post threads about pretty women and automobiles in P & N.

It should be obvious that the partisan hacks are going to be trying to spread their "wisdom" more enthusiastically as we approach an election. Why can't this be anticipated and dealt with?

You want us to PUNISH people for posting in the wrong forum? When we see it we either lock them or move them to the right forum. Punishing people for posting in the wrong forum just seems so fascist unless they constantly do it on purpose then it can be somewhat gratifying and a lot less fascist.
 
Not really, no. It was more of a strawman thrown up to distract you in the hopes of letting me have that cat pics thread. I really want that thread.
 
I like having the option to check out some light P&N stuff without having to venture into the actual P&N section. People there are scary 🙁

Understandable, but far too many of your fellow OT posters want zero P&N content in OT.
