Hey all,

I've been hunting all night for deals at reputable dealers, and I've come up with what I believe to be a good plan. I have 3 windows open that contain

MSI K7T Pro2-A
Duron 700 OEM (1 year warranty)
Aplha PAL6035

all for exactly 223.37 AFTER SHIPPING. Some of the parts are ground, some are 2nd day. All the merchants are good, have high ratings. Would I be making a mistake by hitting the submit button on these windows? SOMEONE STOP ME!!! Or maybe you know a cheaper place?

I already have a KT7-RAID. This is for a second computer. --And to "get some striping going on", or, as I would say "GET MY STRIPE ON", I would have to spend MORE money on new HD's! No thanks. Not to mention, the KT7-RAID is still very pricey. So is this a good price for what I have selected?

BTW, I'm pretty sure for what I'm paying for the MSI, I could buy a RAID card to put on it, and still come out cheaper than the KT7. --Not to mention (though I am a big ABIT-LOVER) the stability everyone touts about the Pro2A.

Ahhhhh nevermind then :)
Looks like a pretty good price to me, you could buy a bundle package here (hope for no returns, I hear their techs are mean hehe), but I think you're getting better cooling with your deal.

Hey thanks for that link. It would be a little cheaper, and I have been comparing my prices to packages on a lot of pages. hadn't found that one. Like you said, though, I will be getting MUCH better cooling. --And I plan to OC. There's no way I would be able to resist STILL buying the alpha if I got that package. :)

John - K7T Pro2-A for 125 shipped.
FS Section - Duron 700 for about $60 shipped
2cooktek.com - Alpha PAL6035 for $30 + $3.75 s/h.

Equals - $218.75

A little cheaper, but still that's a great deal! :)

Hehe. Those prices almost match mine exactly.

K7T Pro2-A was $124 Shipped brand new
CPU was the expensive part. $68.00 shipped, but I got a 1 year warranty without buying a fan with it.
And the alpha is the same. Got it at 2cooltek (but it was only $30.75 AFTER shipping).

Kick ace.

Hehe....looking forward to the dropoff in noise. I'll be going from 2 Globalwin FEP32's dualing it out in here to that one little quiet Alpha sucker. I remember what it was like when I did it at home. Now to SELL THIS BP6!!!! :) Feeling good.
