You can get the Z640s as well for under $60. Basically the same as the 340s except 5.1.

unless you dont have the space, get some z640s. AWESOME speakers. they can't pump the massive amounts of volume or bass (like a z68)) but they are good enough for me (they can be very loud too dont get me wrong). best 5.1 setup for DVDs and games too for cheap!

ATP3, Logitech z340 and 640 are great. If you got a little more than 60, you could get the Creative Itrigue, they seem to perform pretty well with a ported sub.

Boston Acoustics BA-735 are quite nice. I found them better than my ATP3's which I felt have weak bass (adjusting via equilizer mad it sound kind of "unnatural"). Everyone has different tastes in speakers though. Some who don't like pounding bass will probably love the ATP3's.

i was choosing between the z340 and the altec atp3 for ~ $20 more..decided on the atp3 coz its way better satellites, 3 drivers in each satellite instead of one in the z340s...and a slightly larger w00f.

Altec Lansing APT3's are really nice, the bass blends in very well when playing music/dvd's. The Z340's are great for games, with pounding, booming bass.

initially i just wanted to hear some music from my laptop. but i stopped by walmart today and found these. I dont have a boom box or anything and this mini system seems unreal with all the options it had for the price. hey guys check this out initial audio system never heard of them but the speakers felt somehwat heavy for their size

cambridge soundworks slim500. not bassy like logi z540s, but they are very clear and crisp.
