You were right about aggressive memory settings!

I just got one stick of 512 Samsung PC2700, it has Samsung chips but it does not say Samsung on the PCB. I thought that I was SOL but everything is running fine right now. I had to lower my FSB from 150 to 145, but Now I am running cas2.5, 2,2,7, 1. I noticed instantly that Quake 3 plays a whole lot smoother.

And plus my Sandra benchmarks went from 2710/2708@ 150 FSB to 2752/2756 @ 145 FSB aggessive memory settings.

I am going to run sandra burn in test and hopefully I will be able to OC it a little more..

Thanks for all you have done here, with all of the helpfully info......

BTW, I did have 2 256 sticks of KingMax PC2700. One was 6ns and and one was 5ns. I had to run SPD.

hehe np Duff!
those SiS645 boards love fast mem settings.
that cas1 setting really kicks it up!

😀

(hes running an Asus P4S333 board)

Success!!

Booted at 148FSB and 2.5,2,2,6,1 settings. I ran Sandra Burn in test ( just memory, cpu arth, and cpu multi tests )looped 3 times. I got a BSOD..

I changed to 150 FSB and 2.5,2,2,7,1 settings and actually booted up and in XP right now. I will be checking Stability soon..

[*]Asus P4S333 flashed with P4S533 bios ( not latest )
[*]150 FSB
[*]vcore 1.6500 and 4:5 ratio. DDR voltage at 2.7

Stability results so far

cas2.5,2,2,7,1 Prime 95 ran 2 mins
cas2.5,3,3,7,1 Prime 95 ran 30 mins

Right now running torture test on cas2.5,4,4,7,1
