*sigh* where do i begin?
well, quite simply...i have a 30GB maxtor drive that has 2 partitions on it, (D and E, d is 25GB large and E is 5gb large). that drive was in a system that was dual-booting winme and win2k (win2k was installed on the e partition and winme on the c partition of another hd, a western digital if you must know
). i used partition magic to convert e into a logical partition. unfortunately, it crapped out half way down the line and the drive now has errors that do not allow it to boot. also, these errors do not allow me to revert to the old settings because partition magic refuses to do so.
after changing the drive to be primary, rather than logical the computer would not boot into either os. so i took the drive out and it is now in another system that is running win98. how do i save the files that i need that are on the d and e partition of the maxtor?
thx
