Mind you don't exceed any WU deadlines doing it like that.

Overclocking won't kill your CPU as long as don't use excessive voltages (especially if you don't alter CPU voltages at all) & you watch loaded temperatures.
Remember that family of CPUs runs at higher clock rates anyway...... [edit] (thought you had a S754 variant which has a lower clock rate & thus more headroom for o/cing, still....), if you're running it at std clock speeds then you have the skt A Sempron ,your particular CPU IIRC is based on the Thoroughbred 'B' core ,these went up 2.167GHz (the XP 2700) from the factory & they were known for being a good overclocker (the lower models anyway).
See
here for a CPU table
Many XP1700(1.47GHz) Tbred B core owners got their CPU upto 2.2GHz!
🙂 ,though my own one only went upto 2.03GHz without using silly voltages
😛.
Anyway that's just FYI , I'm not saying you have to o/c but I thought you'd like to know that o/cing isn't anywhere near as harmful as the old myths would have you believe, & I thought you might appriecate some free power
😉. Without altering voltages at all you could quite likely run it at 2.1GHz ,maybe more if you have a good core. Not much but better than nothing.
Oh btw I only upgraded from Skt A rig 7mths ago, until then I was running an XP-M 2500(1.83) @2.5GHz ,that was a damn good overclocker that one
🙂 & is now in my sons PC.
.......ah fond memories of the long skt A era!
😱
