Actually, even with every patch under the sun installed, and setting the affinity i still get problems with my Dual Core X2 4200+ (keep in mind this is without SLI)

I dont get problems in every game, but i do in NFS: MW. Ive installed the MS hotfix, the amd driver, and tried it with both ATI and nVidia graphics cards, and the game still stutters like hell. However, when i ripped the processer out and put a 3200+ in there, it ran perfectly smooth.

There could be issues with my motherboard though :s

This is something really disappointing because Oblivion was one of the games I wanted to get SLI for...

This guy seems to have good luck with it: http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview...atid=31&threadid=1831724&enterthread=y

Maby it's because he's using the XG divers?

If you actually played games you wouldn't need to be spoon-fed this information.

I have SLI, I have a X2 processor. I play games every day of my life. What the heck are you talking about?

Also, I checked your sig, you don't have SLI or an X2 processor. Why do you even care about this?

Damn FallenAngell why did you have to try to argue with BFG10K again? Everyone else keeps trying to move on with the actual topic rather than listen to why you and BFG don't like eachothers opinions. Grow up dude.

As for anyone else who might know how to solve some SLI issues, I've been having problems with my vsync. Sometimes I set it to off through the Nvidia Properties of the card and try to play BF2. When the game loads, it's still on, max frames 60?!? I close the BF2 app. and turn vsync on, then close the properties, go back in and turn it off, apply, close it, load up BF2, and it's still on!!!!

Has anyone experienced this or something closely related?

Yes Rollo, we all know about your AEG hand-outs.

I play games every day of my life.
Even when you're liquored up at your anniversary party?

Why do you even care about this?
I'm answering the original poster's question. You on the other hand are just dancing for the AEG like a good little puppet.

There are people in this thread stating they have issues with such a system and asking for help while you continue to parrot your propaganda. If you're such an expert why aren't you helping them?

You could try nHancer out. It features lots of profile help for SLI (cannot comment myself since I don't have SLI & nHancer hides the SI options for those that don't have it).

nHancer requires .net. One of the main arguements for NV fans is that, NV drivers do not require .net. It doesnt bother me, and nHancer is worth it, its a great little program.

About the sound card placement with a A8N32-SLI, here is a pic of my old setup with an A8N32-SLI, X-Fi, and 2xBFG 7800GTX's. There is enough room with the stock coolers on, but dont expect to put a Silencer on with SLI and a A8N32. I had to take mine off, because it simply wouldnt fit. Which sucked, because I like the air moving in the right direction, and hot air going out of the case. On the flip side, here is a shot of my Crossfire with a A8R32, and X-Fi. It doesnt matter how close the X-Fi is to either card, because it does not block the air flow. The reason being is the air goes from the back of the card, out the back of the case. Air is not drawn in from the top of the card. One of the few reasons why I didnt go SLI with 7900's.

The .net argument isn't one of mine. I have too many things on my PC that require it. It may be an argument for others, but I don't speak for them, or anyone else - just myself.

Thanks for the pics, Ackmed. I see you have the Zalman 9500, which I'm also getting (I'm on 7000B right now).

Hmm, so 7900 GTX SLI on the A8N32 would be kind of tight. That's bad because I don't want to get Crossfire (noise & less mature tech IMO) or 7900 GT SLI (noise, 256 MB only).

Maybe I'll just settle for one card. Currently, my head has gotten considerably cooler, and from A64 X2 4400+ / GF 7900 GTX SLI, I'm shifting towards A64 3700+ OC / GF 7900 GTX.

The second 7900GTX blocks two of the four SATA ports on the A8N32. Just a heads up. No reviews mentioned this little tid-bit of info.
