sometimes i wish i could just accept it and pack it in, and just be like everyone else so as to fit in but alas, my brain cannot fathom it, therefore i do not.

Eh, kinda. I suppose it would be a source of strength in hard times.

I'm agnostic.

Why would you be athiest/agnostic but still wish you could believe in a higher power? Maybe you're really a closet believer that wants to think they're athiest so as to fit in?

I am Catholic, but if I was an atheist, I would WANT to believe. Not to fit in, but to have something to look forward to.

Kind of, only because it'd be 'easier' to find girls here (in the bible belt). But it isn't worth it.

I'm an agnostic so I do accept the possibility that the FSM exists.

It would be nice to have (blind) faith that we're all touched sometimes by His Noodly Appendges, and that those of us who are worthy will enjoy both endless plates and unlmited breadsticks and salad after death.

No, I never sit around wishing to be stupid and gullible. However, I do wish there was a higher power to believe in.

Had it once, don't want it again. It's all fine and dandy, but in the end ignorance is just ignorance, blissful or not.

The fact that you question and still think it over rather than automatically saying "OMG <insert religious group here> sucks and are retarded" makes you intelligent and mature in my book.

I feel your pain. Seems like every girl I have a 'chance' with or even a lot in common with, is a southern baptist. :frown:

I wished I beleived. It would be very nice to think there was some kind of afterlife or guiding power.

As an atheist on the left coast I fit in just fine. I wish I did believe though. It would make death a lot less scary, I could find all the answers to life's difficult questions in a book, etc., etc.
