Certain persons related to me are very frustrating at times. I have decided that I will be giving them Guest Access on their own computers. They do not read what they download and install. Later, they complain about having computer problems and pr0n popups.

Is there a way to completely prevent installation / setup files from running at all?

Win XP ... Right now, I have SpyBot Destroyer and AdAware running back-and-forth to make sure it's clean. Then, I'm doing Norton and the online virus scan for backup. tsk.. tsk..

Just format. They'll learn. Since my neice and nephew live here and use the internet, I had to come up with some way to prevent them from destroying computers. I came up with this setup. A Duron 700 to play games and a Power Mac 8600 with a 33.6 modem to connect to the Internet. Who writes spyware for MacOS 8, much less spyware that will infect a machine using Netscape 3. I wish there were a Firebird for Mac OS classic, though. Everyone forgot that there's life before OSX and a SHATLOAD of machines that can't run it.
