Trust me, if you haven't already gone to work don't bother. It's a mess out there. Roads closed left n right... rain pouring so fast your wipers can't keep up... I walked the block from where I park to my office and I am all soaked. The umbrella did nothing...

Man how I wish I just stayed home and stayed in bed today

Not raining here in Jersey and I'm only about 30 miles from the tunnel, looks like it did earlier though.

Tell me about it. Was stopped dead due to accidents and construction while in the pouring rain. Gonna be a great day!

apparently it's supposed to go on and off all day, though LI will continue to be hit especially hard. This evening it is supposed to finally settle down and turn partly cloudy...

traffic was crazy out there. lots of flooded streets so everything is slow.

Touche.... but this rain has stopped traffic.

I saw some cars with huge puffs of steam coming out.... idiots need to learn that saving your car's engine > saving time to work

A large amount of rain or snow dropped in a short time can mess up a major city pretty badly.

It was some torrential stuff here in the bronx early in the morning. The only thing that bothers me is the potential for subway tunnel flooding which can happen. No reports of that so far so its all good.

God, the rain backed up the pipes & flooded my pathetic basement dwelling. :(

The carpet is ruined, the furniture is ruined, the walls are warping, it's hot & it smells. I lost my job recently, & I'm having a really hard time keeping it together right now. I'm just so angry.

That sucks dude. Hopefully you can move some stuff to higher ground and salvage it once things dry out.

The worst part is having to be in the subway witha bunch of wet people, ugh

I wish I stayed home today ... but then I'd have to put up with 2 wet smelly dogs
