From what I've been able to discern, Sudhian means absolutely nothing in any other language. I do know where it comes from, but it's really obscure. I'll let Jasper keep his secret or reveal where he got it from if he wants to.

As for why, it's quite simple. Intel, SIS, and Nvidia aren't going to take you seriously if you've got VIA in your name, now are they? They're going to expect a bias review and as such aren't going to want to send you anything for review. It also gets old to have emails show up in your inbox screaming about how bad the boards are that "Viahardware" makes. We've been confused for VIA themselves for a while now and this should nip that in the bud as well.

Whether we earned it or not (my opinion is we didn't), we were regarded as a "fanboy" site and the name change should break us away from that perception. This change has been in the planning stages for close to a year and I could go on an on about all the nuances and discussions, but it would bore you to tears. If you don't like the name, think on this question, "will you forget this name?" Jasper's taken quite a bit of good natured ribbing from the staff here, but one thing I will definately say about the name is that we don't sound another generic site with the name Extreme, Tech, Hard(ware), Tweak, whatever slapped onto the end. The name is distinctive and stands on it's own.
