I have a Phillips 46" WideScreen HDTV...

It contains:

1X Composite hookup
2X Component hookup
1X DVI
1X S-Video
1X HD-Component (R,B,Gr)

I currently have a S-VIDEO cable that has Video In/Video Out and 2 types of S-VIDEO.. That S-VIDEO cable is only one sided for my graphics card (XFX 6600GT 8X AGP) and I have it hookup to my TV. I have sound/picture quality... but it's really blurry somtimes and with the letters... I lowered the Resolution to 800x600 and it seemed to help and put the TV on 4:3 instead of WideScreen and that helped... But I want to watch a DVD.. I use DIVX and I'm watching .AVI's, They come in really good... aside from the red showing out really badly and the motion blurs/studdering (somtimes.) my question is.. can I remove the motion blur/studdering when movement happens? It's not really serious but it's kind of annoying.

I was thinking I would need:

S-VIDEO instead of Component.
A better CPU for encoding (I use a Celeron 2.20)
MAYBE more ram? (I have 1GB Dual-Channel PC2700 Samsung.)
Adjust some settings.

But the thing is I have no money and I want to watch a video tonight with some friends... are there any ways to get rid of the motion Blur/Studdering through programs/resolutions/setups/TV adjustments etc?

Thanks.

If the TV has a DVI input, I would first try that...I've had good experiences in the past with hooking up my 6800GT to an HDTV (42" RP LCD) via DVI...I'm assuming that your TV is 720p, so try setting the resolution to 1280x720 (there will likely be some overscan, but it should still work if that is indeed the TV's native resolution).

Edit: As you're doing things now, are you using the TV's S-Video input? If so, that's the cause of the blurry image right there...S-Video (and Composite too) is limited to 480i resolution, which isn't very usable at all especially for text.
