Hey guys...memory question

My friend has a Dell 2400 and he onlu has 256 megs of pc2700 ram...now i was wondering if that computer had dual channel...in that case it would make more sense to go dual channel with 2x256 or forget that and just add 1x512 to it?

Dual channel would be better, since it's an Intel based system.

his comp should have dual channel? cause it doesnt even have an agp port.
