Don't take anyone or anything for granted. Be happy with what you've got because there are lots of people worse off than you.

My work buddy just found out his brother died in his sleep last night at age 24. He wasn't sick as far as he knew and is devasted. They are not sure of the cause of death.

When you think you have it bad, take a look around. It won't take long to find someone who would switch you spots. (My grandpa always says this)

Life is so fragile and so fast. We really need to live without regret.

i'll improve on the advice :)

spend the time now with your grandparents especially- they've got a whole lifetime of experience, and usually before we are really old enough to appreciate this/them they're gone.

My father died in 1986. I was 19 and just realizing I didn't know it all and he wasn't an idiot.
