Activision recently held a conference call in which they discussed big plans for next year. Staying true to the company's proven formula, they will be releasing sequels to successful franchises, but their description of 2011's Call of Duty project appears to be of a far grander scope than a new chapter.

You can look forward to new Transformers, Spider-Man, X-Men, and Hero-related games. Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg also revealed an interesting detail about next year's Call of Duty follow up:

"In the back half of 2011, we are launching a new, large-scale Call of Duty FPS title," said Hirshberg."

Considering Call of Duty games sell like mad, we don't think Activision is talking about the financial goals of the game being large-scale. Could this be the first official word on the often rumored Call of Duty MMO/paid-subscription model? We'll let you know when we find out.

When will people learn that this is not a surprise. Seriously, you didn't see this coming? They've had them every single year since CoD2 IIRC... how could you possibly not have known about this? Here's a newsbreak for ya pal, there's a new CoD due in 2012, and 2013 too.

If I had access to the PHP code running here (or the SQL DB), I'd forcibly add raven to everyone's ignore list.

That said, didn't they kinda announce this you know...when Zampella and West sued Activision to blow all further MW titles...and then the IW employees sued for backpay/withheld bonuses - both mentioning some future MW title?

Activision/Bobby Kotick can rot in hell - I'm giving them none of my money. Don't care HOW good their games are, for this BS I refuse to buy ANYTHING with the Activision name on it.

Thank god Brutal Legend was rejected by them 🙂

I say time and time again: If you have nothing nice to say . . ..

Oh yeah, I almost forget;

- The 3DS will mop the floor with the PSP2 - even Apple's Iphone will do better!

- The PS3 is clearly a piece of junk; the PC, Xbox 360 and even the Wii has a better hardware and selection of games.

That is all. 😀
 
Any of you mods seeing this? I start a normal post and all these other unintelligent punks turn it into a flame/troll fest...
