Only in America.

EDIT: Although Intel would counter sue on the fact that people use cars, knowingly pollute and that does more damage to collectively.

LOL@ roaches.. there's also some Rinmaker guy in SF and his friends suing Intel for anti-trust, same stuff. But don't worry. Intel will file a motion for all to be combined, move to federal court and the only people that get rich are the lawyers, if they win.

With that said the sh1t is definity about to hit the fan. Three major cases will prolly land on intel like a ton of bricks.

1. Consumer Class Action talk about above.
2. AMD suit
3. FTC maybe and definity if 1 or 2 suceed.

I cant wait until the judge laughs them out of the court for being so damn stupid. I swear, we need to remove the safety labels off stuff and let the problem solve its self

Can't agree more..

It is like we have to Baby each other to live... It seems nobody wants to be responsible for they do.. It is a stupied world we live in today.
Ex. I remember when i was small, i fell off my bike. I should be able to sue Huffy for not designing a bike that i couldn't fall off of or at least put a big warning label that say Kids might fall off and get hurt..
This stuff pisses me off so MUCH!!! How can the government allow company to get sued over mistake like this. I guess they believe the gun kills people, not that people kills people.

GRRR!

Yeah, this is how America works. Big suit like this gets talked about all over, and the slimier part of our country decides they want in on the action. Technically, since a whopping percentage of offices and homes use Dell, they are actually entitled to sue, as they were denied any choice. Personally, I think they just want some cash. It also shows how good this case looks for AMD...they wouldn't jump on it unless they thought it would win.

AMD's case is great... if they can prove their claims. Corporations are completely amoral, they exist only to make profits for their shareholders. An example of this is the Ford motor company and their exploding Pintos. You think they didnt know they could explode? Oh yes they did, they just decided that even with all the lawsuits and deaths they would still make more profit from it than reengineering it to be safer and launching it later. So law suits (and more specifically, class-aution suits) exist to protect consumers by making it extremely expensive for corporations to screw consumers with defective products, etc. Of course, sometimes stupid people abuse the system (like they do all good things).

I'm not even going to read the article but I'd guess they claim Intel deprived them of choice through it's monopolistic pratices, suppressed innovation, lead to higher prices, caused them emotional distress and ate their babies.

Excuse me, then what was the point in posting? The article is fairly short, anyway.
