hey did anyone ever buy the ECS laptop at walmart for 600$?
the xp-m1600 128ram 40gig hd

or the GQ 600$ laptop from outpost.com?
the one with 2.7celery 128ram 20gig hd?

if so, what do you think of it? how is the quality of the material, the lcd screen and so forth?

The best deal I have seen was a $650 Office Depot deal with $2500+ & 256MB & Office '03 S&T

My sister's boyfriend tried to get in on the BB $600 Toshiba one. Out of stock though. He instead got an $800 HP one. Both were prices after all the MIR BS that may or may never come in.

I got the $600 VPR Matrix from Best Buy when they were discontinued.

Very underrated deal in Hot deals. I'd say it was one of the best laptop deals ever.

hey it was probably me originaly intending to by one of these...

Anyway...ended up buing a HP one (Wally didnt have in stock and wife wanted one NOW 🙂...and the HP (ze4805, compusa) seems to be MUCH better. ($899 ater MIR).... it has AMD Mobile 2800+ (!), 192MB ram, 60 (!) GB HD and some mobile Radeon card, wireless G NIC, DVD, CD-RW and basically everything is better than the walmart one. Not THAT bad for $899 after MIR. Especially love the 60 G HD.

The walmart one still sounds/sounded like a a good deal for some low-end entry level lappy without bells/whistles.
