Quite frankly, when you see something like this, you shouldn't be shooting it. They should have waited a little longer and shot a regular deer.
I hope they use everything from this animal so it didn't die in vain.

Why? From an evolution standpoint, this deer is inferior. It stands out, doesn't blend in, and would more likely be targeted by predators. There is nothing about its black color that helps him pass those genes on.
Now, if it had some type of cloaking device... Then THAT would be worth passing on!

In my opinion, unique animals should have a "get out of hunting season alive" card. It's a rarity and having other people being able to see this deer alive seems to be worth more than it being someones trophy or dinner.
