Well, what's up? I haven't really paid attention to anything/anyone on the forums for awhile--mainly my posts have been the sort of impersonal mindless drivel that everyone complains about when they start YAThe-Post-Quality-Is-Going-Down-T.
Well, on Wednesday I started my drive to Rochester and stopped overnight in Pittsburgh to stay with my uncle/cousins. Thursday I got to Rochester, checked out the business school, sat in on a class, and met some of the MBA students (Simon School at U of Roch.) Friday I had my interview, and then one of the 2nd year students took me on a guided tour and then took me out to lunch.
I was pretty impressed with the school facilities, student body, and committment from the alumni (they have a very strong network...I met an alum who flew in from Turkey where she's been living for 7 years since graduation just to visit her profs and show her children the campus!) Verdict is still out on the quality of their marketing/e-commerce program and the faculty (professors aren't on campus much during the summer so I couldn't meet the real profs--only the understudies.) I don't think I'll get in because I'm only an average candidate and I applied REALLY late for the MBA. But it was good experience for when I try again next year.
Friday afternoon I drove back to Pittsburgh, saw 'Harold and Kumar' with my cousin (funnier than 'Anchorman' IMHO, but just as dumb) and left this afternoon to come back home.
