hey all, need to know something about thermal paste

is it all created equal? can i walk down to radioshack and pick me up some, and OC my CPU up to what it was guaranteed at by compuwiz? also, do I take off the yellow sticky pad that's on the VolcanoII, or is that needed? or is that a thermal pad? =\ can that be used instead of goop? I need to know ASAP, thx in advance

ow sticky pad = probably thermal pad...
radio shack stuff = decent performance (better than most thermal
pads)
Artic Silver (I/II)= best stuff out right now

there was a thread earlier today saying how AMD chips don't really work with grease and AMD doesnt recommend it... forgot which forum... good luck
