I don't think I will have any problems running COD2, but I wanted some first hand thoughts on how the game will run on this setup.

My specs are below!!!

How is the game to anyone who has it on PC, is the game worth it??

I have some Best Buy Online Dollars to spend and I don't think I will use it for anything else but some silly games to entertain myself.
 
Sound run fine its a pretty good game multiple player is a like Meh in my opinion but still worth the buy.

Oh way better on the Pc then 360 IMO

Cool thanks for the help, I think I will order tonight. I have to break myself away from BF2 I need something similar to break my addiction.

The single player might break your addiction, but don't expect much from the multi.

It's a great game especially if you like first person shooter/wartime games. You shouldn't have any problems running it on your comp. I've got an a64 3500 venice, 6600GT (128Mb) and 1 Gb of value RAM and i had it running fine on high res. I don't have COD2 any more tho, i formatted and lost the install CD 🙁
 
It will run like butter... in DX7

It will run like crap in DX9.

Of course, this is assuming you pump up the resolution. This game is not coded well at all, and the frames it outputs does not correlate well to how good it looks.

I have a similar/better machine. COD2 was fun, but its basically more of the same COD. Its a bit different feel. I bought it for $25 so it was alright (and sold it promptly after I finished it). Multiplayer is same as COD, lackluster in comparison to other mulitplayer games.
 
I LOVED COD/UO, but I am NOT a fan of COD2. The gameplay is a step backwards from the original COD, and I basically hve to force myself to even play it. What a shame, I was expecting this game to actually be good.
