Hexen 2-Problems with setting resolution

I am trying to play a demo of an old game called Hexen 2. In the setup section(options) I can't change the resolution. There are severals resolutions to choose from but the choice of resolutions does not change when I move the up or down arrows. There is a mention of "command line parameters" but I havn't a clue what this means. Any help is always appreciated.

You give arguments (options) to the program via the command line. The easiest way is to make a shortcut for Hexen 2 itself. Then, go to properties on the shortcut and add these so-called parameters after the end double quote in Target.

I think I understand. In the target line it has this:"C:\Hexen II Demo\glh2.exe" . How exactly would I type the resolution? Let's say I want to use this resolution: 1920 x 1200 x 16. Thanks for the quick response.

The Target for Hexen 2 (OpenGL) would be

"C:\Hexen II Demo\glh2.exe" -width 1920 -height 1200 -bpp 16

Widescreen Hexen 2 goodness. 😉

i hope you are using glide 😀

Well, what I did was delete the opengl.dll in the hexen directory so the game would use the opengl that came with my Nvdia driver.

The game looks great at 1920x1600x32 on my Dell widescreen. Thanks for the help Xtknight.

This was one of the "3 for $10" games I got from an offer that came with my 433 cel HP some years back 😉

The others were Battlezone and...hmm, maybe it will come to me, but I enjoyed the heck out of Battlezone!
