I know a few people here backed this game over Kickstarter a long time ago...

Just wanted to let people know that the first PvE content for Hex is releasing today. Couldn't find a thread about it when I searched but all the information is on the front page of their website for anyone who is interested. If they get it running successfully I'll be playing tonight!

I was interested in it until I learned you have to pay to play for the most part and with my life savings I spent in MTG for awhile I am scared to get into another ccg. :p

Also whatever happened with the MTG lawsuit against them?

I have no idea what happened to the lawsuit. I just know they are still developing the game. And I agree... CCG's are pure wallet murder.

I've been doing mostly online card games cause they lose most of the crappy collectible part of them, haven't read much about thex but if it's niche is to try an bring that to the online market I look forward to them failing.

Hex is trying to become a CCG MMO with dungeons and raids and such. There is a large collectible part to it as well, but that's not really their main focus. I had fun with the content last night. Was plenty challenging for someone who has about half of the cards released so far.

I wanted to bump this back up since Hex is releasing the second part of their PvE campaign tomorrow (12/6). Things are going a lot better with this game since the last time I posted. The UI is a lot better, matches are smooth and I'm hopeful for a good release.

You should be able to play through the whole campaign without spending any money, but as it is a collectible card game you're going to want to spend a few bucks at some point.
