hex editor ... please help. Fixed it don't worry

I realise this is a bit OT, but ... ONI is killing me. I got to cheat. And to do that I need to use a hex editor to change hex offset 44 to 07(?). Can anyone give me some tips here? I got the hex editor but the offsets are like 442A 440C and so on can't find no single 44. Which one do I edit?

Hopefully this is a really easy and stupid question to some of you but I don't know any of this stuff (I'm a major in finance) so please be gentle and help me out.
