Ideally, you want the neck to snap. For someone to suffer, you dont want their neck to snap.. then they suffocate.

What difference does it make?

My guess is it snapped his neck. There's a clear formula used whereby the weight of the executed determines the length of the rope... Just long enough to snap his neck but not so long that his head pops off.

Thats the kind of stuff one can only pick up in Alaska. Do they still have those trapdoor type of devices up there or something? Because those are not really needed to hang someone ya know?
