Herman Miller Aeron chair

Nope, I hear it's overpriced. It's the Bose of chairs. You can get chairs of similar quality for less
 
I really want a good chair, my current chair is pretty sucky. I am willing to pay about $200 for something that will last and is actually GOOD. Any ideas>?
 
Make sure you buy the fully loaded one. I don't think the base models are that comfortable. It sounds that you've never tried one. Make sure you test them out. By "them" I mean the three different sizes; A, B and C (small to large sized).

They are great chairs. I didn't think much of them, besides the look and style, but when I started work with my current job, I realized how comfortable they are. Sitting for long periods of time doesn't become uncomfortable. I ended up purchasing two for my home; one for my wife and self.

To add: I'd stay away from the leather arm rests. Those could become cracked and torn. If you set the height of them equal to the height of the bottom of your desk and the two surfaces rub, then the arms may damage. The rubbery regular arms are more durable. They don't make the chair look bad at all. Good luck!

I love mine (have one at work) I can literally sit here for hours on end and not feel any discomfort whatsoever. If you don't sit in your chair for long periods of time, then it's probably not worth it. But if I could afford one, I'd get one.

And the cheap knockoffs can't compare.
 
I bought a used fully-loaded model..

I didn't like it at first. But, now that I'm used to it, I wouldn't want anything else. It moves with me.. when I lean forward or backward..

And, you can sit on it for hours and hours without getting sore, a sweaty back, or butt pain. It's a good quality chair..

All good quality heavy-use chairs are expensive. The $100-300 chairs at places like Office Depot are really light-use and cannot stand up to years of heavy use.

 
Considering I sit on mine 9 hours a day a minimum, I'm considering ways to smuggle it out of the company when I leave. If I ever get to the point where I'm working from home, I'll purchase one. It honestly is the most comfortable chair I've ever sat in, especially for long periods of time. From a guy who tends to overheat, this chair is also cooler because of the mesh design.

Consider it an investment if you spend hours and hours on your ass.
 
I guess my ass it too boney as for the love of god I can't get comfy one one of them.
And believe me I m trying as I have to sit in one everyday.
 
$600 isn't much for a high-end chair. Try it, if you sit in a chair all day and it works for you, then its worth it imo.

I've used Herman Miller Aeron chairs for a looong time and I LOVE them. Awesome chairs. I'll be getting one for home soon.
 
If it saves your back etc. when sitting in a chair all day, its worth triple.

Finding the right chair for all day usage is like finding the right clothes that fit...who gives a cr@p what clothes fit others or not, if it works go with it (and return it if it doesn't.)
 
I'd love to have an Aeron, just the pricetag is a little much for me at the moment. And like all ergo chairs, they take a good bit of adjusting to get them right for you. When I bought my Reaction (also from Herman Miller) it took me about three days to get everything comfortable. It was worth it though.
 
Worth every cent. As for the Aeron bashers, they are either jealous or didn't try the proper size chair for their fat ass. You can't find a chair with the same comfort and quality as an Aeron.
 
I found one for $530 total, fully loaded, Size B. People are going to think I'm crazy paying this much for a chair, is it really worth it?
