Flashed it earlier. Minor things I've noticed, mostly with Handcent not working. I can't install it from Market on the phone or market.android.com. Times out on the website and the Market tells me there's no network . . . as its downloading other apps. None of my apps auto-DLed and reinstalled as they did on Froyo though, so I've had to redo a lot of them manually, or through the web Market.

Its pretty snappy though.

I'm watching the thread on DF and it seems that overall it's pretty solid and feature complete. The CM7 nightly thread is around 20 pages longer than I remember lol. Will probably be trying this out today or this weekend.

I've been following the nightlies for CM7. I've got build #31 (I think) on my Incredible right now. Everything works pretty well, except for MMS. Can't d/l any pics/vid., etc. no matter what. Gingerbread is very smooth.....

I was having the same exact problems on stock 2.2 yesterday with Handcent, so I don't think it's your issue.

I would like to present to you a clean stock Gingerbread (Android 2.3.2) ROM. Although this build is stock, I spent many hours modifying it to my liking.

So it's NOT stock. Stock would be OEM. There is no OEM Gingerbread build for the Droid 1.

Looks OK. Annoying that none of my apps downloaded from the market though.

I've been running the CM nightlies on my D1. The biggest issue is multitasking. The built in gingerbread task manager is way too aggressive. If you are playing music and switch to another app it kills the music player.

Hmm, do not see it under Mod Manager yet, might be in the paid version. Hopefully, the CyanogenMod guys will have 7 out soon.

I've been running a nightly build on my EVO and it's pretty smooth so far. There are some random restarts (usually seem to have something to do with either music player or plugging in a usb cable), and the GPS is a little flaky, however my nightly is about 2 weeks old at this point.

Supposedly ChevyNo1 is going to release SS gingerbread today.

Unfortunately I hosed myself trying this ROM today. Did my nandroid backup of my Ultimate Droid install, flashed this ROM, didn't like it and tried to go back to my UD backup and for some reason the image was hosed so I couldn't restore. Ugh.

Gave it a quick 10 minute run through to check it out. Rolling back now mostly because I'm lazy but looking pretty good. Very good progress in a short while especially by the CM7 team.

Will probably transition full time in a few weeks.

Seems to work fine for the most part. The first time I flashed was just to inspect it. I went back to .6.2.1 again to finalize my backups. Now I'm not sure I'll stay on gingerbread even though I just spent a good bit of time putting things back. Screen takes FOREVER to turn on all of a sudden and I've somehow lost that screen off animation. Other things seem to be working better. Interestingly the market appears to have remembered where I had a few things last time I was on stock launcher. For some reason it also deleted how I last set it up before rebooting. Speed feels fine, although typical android jittery/delayed at times. Animation tweaks are nice.

I'm thinking I may revert to BB until he comes out with BB 6.3

FYI ChevyNo1 says he's uploading his Gingerbread SS now, should be available shortly.

Yep, overall I think I will wait a few weeks as the remaining bugfixes and performance tweaks get implemented before I switch. This will be the toughest job the developer community has had since there will be no proprietary bits for the hardware released in an official rom.

Really makes one wonder what the heck goes on with these manufacturers and google themselves sometimes...

I couldn't stand the 6 seconds it took for the screen to come on and went back. Worked well besides that problem so I look forward to his BB release of gingerbread.

I rolled back to CM612. ADW EX crashed a lot, screen turning on was sluggish, and the phone hard locked once. Plus I missed all CM's special features. I'll wait for CM7.

I will likely go back to CyanogenMod 6, after installing the latest build of Pete's Gingerbread, the audio skips when I perform an action on the device.

I've been using it for a while. Only problem so far is the wifi deal with the kernel, other than that it's super smooth.
