Here's to our friends and family in the armed forces...

My best friend Mark and I have always been together to have cigars at before midnight on Christmas, New Years, and July 4th. Yet again, like the last two years, he's not here. He's in the gulf on USS Juneau.

I just wanted to give a public thank you to all of those on the forums who serve in the military in any way. No matter what the situation, what the politics of the moment are, what the risk -you're putting yourself on the line for the rest of us. I think I can speak for everyone else in saying that it's hard to find another reason to respect, appreciate, and be thankful to anyone for.

So to all those from serving in your home town to being on the other side of the globe this Christmas, thank you so very much, and have a Merry Christmas. Don't forget that no matter what happens, you're in our hearts and prayers.

Mark, I love you like a brother because that's what you really are to me. Thanks for everything you're doing, bro. I miss you.

I'm lucky I get to be home for Christmas. Thanks to all those who support the troops regardless of your politics.

Cousin is in Iraq, helicopter pilot in the Army. Just got over there last month, so he'll be there a while. Seeing about getting him a GBA SP and some games to send over. Think his tour is 18 months 🙁
