It took them this long to fix the path finding? I pretty much assumed that was in version 1 of the first games release, as it was a big problem and should have been simple as beans to fix. Glad I never picked these up, but looks like they might finally be living up to their "enhanced" title. Maybe worth buying after another year of fixes?
I played through every IE game within the last few years except for IWDII, which I just haven't gotten to yet, and I never got used to the path finding. It was hugely frustrating, and easily the first thing I would want fixed in a re-release. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they finally fixed it, I just find their priorities and execution a bit daft. They spent months fixing bugs they created, and it seems like the features the games needed most weren't implemented until the BG:II release, or in this patch. All Infinity Engine games have had issues with path finding. Honestly though, you adapt to the poor path finding in about 20 minutes of play.

Also, are these fixes being ported to the BG:1 release?
I found that last night, but it's just a coincidence that they share the same version number, as it's an entirely unrelated update. From reading the forum, it appears that Baldur's Gate II is the only enhanced edition with fixed path finding, not even the newly released Icewind Dale has it.I think they did a 1.3 patch for BG:EE already. I didn't check if that included improved path finding but you would think so.
