heres the future

😕

I understand the basic concept of quantum computing and it only makes sense that its the next step in computing. However quantum anything is no beach read.

Are you in the code-breaking business?
That and database sorting are basically the "killer-aps" of quantum computing, everything else you can be done faster on a conventional computer.

And you will have to wait for a long time. It will take 15+ years before we have "real" (usefull, not only a few bits) quatum computers (if it can be done).

Relatively few and simple concepts from quantum mechanics are needed to make quantum computers a possibility. The subtlety has been in learning to manipulate these concepts.

Read that sentence 2 or 3 times. It's only a "possibility." No guarantees that it's really feasible with today's technology... it might be quite a few years.

Cool site though... I bookmarked it to read more thoroughly later.

Just to put thing sinto perspective:
WIth NRM we can build a "computer" with 7 quantum bits (qubits), this techniques can not be scaled up.

With solid state technology (superconductors) 3 qubits

In order to use a quantum computer for applications you need at least around 10 000 qubits.
