For spare!

I've only one VGA all this time and I was thinking maybe this SLI thing is not that useful afterall...

Just recently my 1.5yr old PC started having problem, at first I thought it was the VGA (bought another VGA) but it turns out that it's the PCIe slot on the mobo.

I was lazy to try the other PCIe slot since I was using Zalman Chipset heatsink and I'd have to revert back to the stock HSF - but after the new VGA didn't work, I had to do it.

There you go... buy SLI cause it'll provide some sort of redundancy!

BTW, anybody know how long is MSI RMA process?

1 Year, Atleast on the boards I've had from them. Write them an eMail can't hurt. They have streched thier boundries in the past.

Laziness is not a good reason to get SLI at all. I'd be pissed if one of my slots stopped working and would swiftly tear the faulty board out and RMA it.
