I monitored the woman's negative account for 6 months before I quit and it remained negative even though her whole paychecks were going into the account. And there were negative balance fees added on every day. She used a debit card to make all the purchases.

Those people...

couldnt she just return some of the stuff to the store? I mean if she had saved the receipts, she could just return the stuff and get the $$$ back into the account. Foolish to just deposit her entire account and pay for stuff that she could not afford.

:)

I dont know, maybe she didnt have the recipts. Thats what I was assuming, because without a recipt, you can only get store credit or a store exchange. No store will credit an account for returned merchandise without a valid recipt stating the payment type. Anyways, Im surprised the bank held the negative account for so long. They should have turned it over to collections sooner.

Do you really think she cares? If she went to all the trouble to steal $3k by writing fraudulent checks then i doubt she is going to return it.

In that case... a normal person, with a shred of common sense... would return the items, take the store credit and try to sell them... or sell the merchandise...i mean even selling them for 50% of value would still be better than taking a chance on getting charged with something.

but a normal person, with a shred of common sense, would not have tried to steal the money to begin with.

;)

Your thread sucked.

It only sucked because I couldn't make it realistic. I bet that's why YOU locked it. :p

If I had the proper access to do so, I would have locked your account instead.

So i worked at a bank a couple years ago for 1.5 years. So there was a bank error and we accidently credited this ghetto woman's checking account by $3500. Anyways, that same night, she obviously found out about the DEPOSIT and she went to the mall and spent everything. I mean all $3500....at stores like footlocker, etc. Just a bunch of random sh*t, so she could spend the money before we could do anything about it. Little did she know that the very next day we debited her account in the amount of the error. So her account went from something like $5 to -$3505. Hahahahahha. She came in a few hours after opening and she started arguing etc. This woman came into the bank with a brand new leather jacket, some high heels, etc....looking like she was ready to hit the club. It was the funniest thing....the look on her face. She knew that money wasnt her's. Her account never reached more than $100 in the life of the account. I just thought that was funny.

You do know that it is illegal to divulge a customers account information without their permission don't you? Let to much slip and you may be paying her debt.
