As much as it pains me to post this, I have to ask for your help.

My sister visited me last night, and she's in a bad shape. She has really good reasons to believe that her husband is cheating - or planning to cheat - on her.

She already caught him before, talking to other women over the net, having some romantic developments, and I helped her install a keylogger on his machine (they each have their own computers.)

He discovered it, confronted her about it, and they had a very big fight, then they seemed to come to peace, and it was all alright for a while (isn't that always the case?)

That was four months ago.... now she has some bad vibes again, so she needs to be sure... that's probably the worst, not knowing exactly what's going on. She needs proof before she can do anything else... fscking bastard!

Basically, the guy's smart enough to scan his computer on a regular basis, so he will discover this program, if it's not well hidden.

I am not joking, and this is not something I like to talk bout.

I desperately need to find an undetectable keylogger.

My sister came to me asking for help, knowing that I'm into computers, but my experience with this type of software is nil.

Since I have several computers available, I downloaded trial versions of Perfect Keylogger and Ardamax, for a quick mock-up, and unfortunately they can both be spotted by AdAware and other scanning utilities.

Another name that came up was Spector, but after reading more about the uninstalling nightmares it comes with, I backed out. I don't want to fry the machine and cause even more trouble for my sister. There seem to be a lot of dubious names and products in this racket...

PLEASE help me with this!

*edit* Is this the right place to ask, or should I go to "Windows/PC software" ???

If there was a truly undetectable keylogger, the antivirus companies wouldn't be doing what they are paid to do.

One other thing - how about sorting the root of the problem.

Maybe this should be in the relationship forum.
If she is willing to snoop on hubby, and he is innocent, what then?
If she finds what she 'wants' to find, what then?
If she doesn't find anything, will this vindicate him? How far is it acceptable to snoop on someone?
If he is cheating, then why?
I know why.

Thanks for the musings, but they're not helpful at all... I really don't understand why some feel like sermonizing in regards to other people's lives. I'm giving my sister an earful of advices over the years, but we're family and she needs help.

biggestmuff - what would a hardware solution consist of???
