well, here's a question for you... when you have your CPU CORE (1Ghz T. bird) grinded at the corner(Very tiny... less than a mil. meter), like chipped.. does the CPU burn out EVENTUALLY or do you not see post at all since the FIRST pwr button on? Many replies much appreciated.

If I understand your question, you have a 1 GHz T-Bird that is chipped, or has had a corner abraded and you want to know how it is likely to fail, or if it will fail at all.

Answer: If it works now it probably keep on working, as long as you are careful not to place additional wear on the place that is chipped. If it is not currently working odds are very thin that you will be able to get it to work.

I think that is what you were asking. If not, try to clarify ... the people here at Anandtech are very helpful.
