reminds me of a recent similar play in junior high football with a child with down syndrome iirc. they had a play specially designed for him to score a touchdown.

both stories were very moving.

Yes, very moving story. Good to read stuff like this. Very uplifting when compared to stories about overinvolved parents attacking coaches and causing tremendous amounts of stress on their children to succeed in school and sports.

there's a retarded kid in my gym class at school. the other day some black kid blocked his shot and began running all over the place telling the retard "not to bring it in my hood"
