Ok problem is when WinXP Pro tries to load the blue bar just keeps moving and pauses from time to time for a sec or 2. It just does this and nothing else. I have let it set there for mins at a time still it will not go past WinXP logo(loading screen). I tried to redo windows but when I hit enter to install a fresh copy of WinXP and it goes to detech my HD,size, partions, ect it says something a 19233mb IDE 0 and a few other things that shows 0 and atapi. I really can't remember what all it said but reported 0 on each of them and just sticks there on that screen.

Things I have tried:
Switching IDE channels with my CD-burner and CD-Rom
unhooking both CD-Rom and burner
went to safe mode which loads once in a while
took the HD out and put it in another PC to make sure I could get into it which I could with no errors(which I forgot to run scan disk on it which I should have while I was testing it as safe mode won't let you)

Any other suggestions?

1.4 Athlon
ECS mobo(the one that take SDram only)
Win XP Pro

EDIT:Sorry for that last post I hit enter by mistake

I didnt try clearing the CMOS if the mobo even has the option. I didnt think the BIOS had much to do with it. Somethings keeping windows from loading which is either a corrupted file or a error inside the system somewhere. I got $100 says its something simple as it always is in my case. Think running scan disk might be the problem?

It would help if you could tell us exactly what the WinXP installation screen says.
