My brother's PC is quite old, but functions fine for a web/office machine. He had a Geforce 7600 GS in it, but two capacitors on it blew for no apparent reason.
Right now he's running an Athlon 64 3800+ at 2.7 GHz, 1 GB of RAM, and... a Geforce 6100 IGP.
Now, this IGP comes clocked at 425 MHz stock, but overclocks to 600 MHz without any additional voltage. I've run OCCT's GPU test on it for several hours without any errors or artifacting.
This overclock is actually making a notable difference in...smooth rendering of web pages. Scrolling chokes at stock speed sometimes.
I've pulled the video BIOS from the card, and Nibitor can edit it like any other BIOS, but I can't find a way to reflash it with a 575 or 600 MHz BIOS. I don't like using software overclocking, as it adds overhead to a computer that needs as little as possible.
Anyway, any ideas?
