I'm also an atheist, and I'm not fan of any religion (though I admire the Jews for their resolve,) but it's plain to see that Islam is the most destructive religion of our time. Comparing it to Christianity isn't even reasonable.

Again, look at every Muslim nation. Do you want to live there? Do you want your country to be like that? Because that's what Islam will do for you. One would think that groups of people, nations, or tribes that have been around for thousands of years longer than the US might have progressed beyond sustenance farming & goat herding... but they haven't.

I think the 12 year old girl feels much, much better than she would at home, where she wouldn't be allowed to go school, and attempting to do so carries with it the risks of being poisoned, shot, or blown up. Allowing her to wear her hijab at school is just one incremental step towards no women in France being allowed to go to school, because eventually that'll morph into, "French students not covering themselves are not respecting our Islamic faith."

Attempting to bargain with people who will not stop until they have achieved total domination is a losing prospect. You're giving up ground that'll require blood in order to be retaken.

Do you think I'm kidding about the danger and intimidation that little girls face going to school here? Because I'm not. Every Wednesday I get to hear the Governor and the Provincial Minister of Education complain about how the girls schools are blown up, the wells poisoned, the Afghan soldiers or police are using them as toilets, or the Army went and stole everything out of the school.

And yet somehow I muster the strength to go hand out school supplies on my own initiative. It's sad to hand a little girl a notebook with all the Disney princesses on it, when the concept of a princess doesn't even exist here.
